Q: Compared to Thomas The Train products, I would like to know if the train tracks in your trains sets are wood or made out of some other heavy duty material? What parts if any are plastic in your train sets?

A: All KidKraft train tracks are made from wood. There are very few exceptions. KidKraft do have a few train tracks that make sounds. Theses are plastic in order to hold the battery correctly. KidKraft also has certain wooden tracks that have little plastic railroad crossing barriers on them. Other than that, all train track pieces are manufactured out of wood.
